We are a growing mixed animal veterinary practice in Northern Kentucky seeking an administrative professional to join our team. The ideal candidate would be interested in growing with our practice to potentially move into the role of Office Manager. If you are an organized multitasker who is quick to learn and adapt to new challenges, we would love to hear from you!
Typical Responsibilities:
- Assisting with general clerical duties such as answering phone calls and emails, scheduling, preparing and filing paperwork, reviewing medical records, and processing payments.
- Greeting clients and checking animals into appointments and surgeries.
- Initial triage of medical cases presenting in person or on the phone.
- Assising medical team as needed with basic animal restraint and handling.
Preferred Experience:
- No experience in the veterinary industry required (though helpful!), though the ideal candidate would have animal handling experience.
- One year customer service experience in a client-facing position.
- Experience in a medical setting a plus!
Required skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications such as Word, and Google interfaces such as Gmail and Google Voice.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively via telephone, email, text, and in person.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in difficult situations.
- Ability to learn and adapt to evolving situations.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately with minimal to no supervision.
